The TEDxGoldenGatePark series is filled with encouraging and inspiring TED talks. In this particular talk, Larry Jacobson shares a captivating story of how he took a life-changing risk to achieve is greatest passion for life: sailing around the world.
Larry makes a thought-provoking statement that "more often then not, it's the good things we have in our life that get in the way of achieving great things."
Too often we become content with our lives. We lose sight of our true passions because life, as it stands, is good. And it's too easy make small excuses of why we can't fulfill our life's great passion.
We must never forget the honest passions of our life. Recognize your priorities. Let passion rule your day.
I LOVE TED talks! My favorite TED Talk on using dreams to overcome fear was the one that got the standing ovation at the top TEDx in Europe last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ve4rtLZPZ90
