Dreaming and Doing | Top TED Talks

"If you can dream it, you can do it." - Walt Disney

This is the foundation for Saku Tuominen's TED Talk. He underscores a major problem with people today: many individuals claim that they cannot dream. And those who can dream, struggle to do.

Saku breaks-down people into three categories:
  • Dreamer's - those who dream and inspire great ideas, but fail to action
  • Doer's - those who take action, but leave their dreams aside
  • Did's - those who dream and take action to do
Saku also makes a great reference to happiness. He relates to a common perception of how humans struggle with a losing battle of seeking happiness.

The answer lies in how we manage our perception of time, and what we do with that time. "It's all about the balance," Saku says. And the new "KISS" - "Keep it simple (but) smart."

According to Saku, to fulfill your meaning of life good (and find ultimate happiness,) you have to find balance in 'dream, do, and did.'
